On the page that opens, choose the downloaded siteqc-transfer.zip file, then “Install Now”.

Activate
Click “Activate Plugin”. The SiteQC Transfert menu appears in your administration.

Connect to SiteQC
In SiteQC Transfert, click “Connect to SiteQC”: sign in or create your account, then the plugin guides you.
The plugin file downloads, then the “Upload Plugin” page of your site opens in a new tab.

How the transfer of your WordPress site works

An assessment first
The plugin measures your site: database, files and plugins. You see what will be copied, what will not and why, and the space it takes in your plan.

An encrypted copy
SiteQC copies your site in small pieces, encrypted end to end, without overloading your host. You can close the tab: an email tells you when it is done.

Proof that nothing is lost
The fidelity report compares the rows of every table, the fingerprint of every copied file and the answer of every page. You test the copy on a temporary .mon.siteqc.ca address.

Going live, when you are ready
You only change the A record of your domain. Your old site stays online until then, and your email does not move.
Your questions before transferring
Will my email stop working?
No. Your email follows the MX records of your domain, which the transfer does not touch: it stays with your current host until you move it. If that is your case, we remind you before going live not to cancel your old hosting too early.
Will my site be offline during the transfer?
No. The site is first copied to SiteQC while the original stays online. When you are happy with the copy, you change the A record of your domain: visitors reach the new site as the change propagates, with no downtime.
How do I know nothing was lost?
The fidelity report proves it: the same number of rows in every table, the same SHA-256 fingerprint for every copied file, and the pages of your sitemap compared between the original and the copy. A difference is always reported, never hidden.
What is not copied, and why?
What would be useless or risky at SiteQC: the WordPress core (provided up to date), caches, backups made by other plugins, PHP files placed in the uploads and settings specific to your old host. Everything is listed before the copy, with the reason.
Why does my current host need PHP 8.1 or later?
The plugin is first installed on your current site, which must use a PHP version that still receives security fixes. If your host uses an older version, ask them to switch to PHP 8.3 or later (often a menu in their control panel), or ask for an assisted migration.
Will my site fit in my plan?
Before any copy, the plugin shows the exact size of your site and the free space of your plan, from 5 GB with Écluse to 50 GB with Manic. If your site does not fit, nothing is copied and the plans that fit are offered to you.
How much does the transfer cost?
Nothing more: the transfer is included in every WordPress hosting plan. You only pay for your plan, at the same price on renewal.
Is my data protected? What about Law 25?
The content of your site is encrypted end to end during the transfer and stored only on SiteQC infrastructure, in Québec. You do not give us any password: the plugin connects to your SiteQC account and removes itself at the end. Details in our privacy policy.
